Tim Straight, Sr.'s Obituary
Tim Straight, Sr., surrendered his earthly body for his heavenly one on February 5, 2013. No more pain. No more suffering. An avid sportsman, beloved husband, father and great friend, Tim died after a very courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, La. Born in Jennings, La, on February 27, 1948, Tim was raised by Joe and Edna Miller, and is survived by his cherished wife Shirley (Stell) Straight, brother Alvin Straight, son and daughter in law, Timmy and Neysa Straight, daughter Tricia Straight and her fiancé Greg Starks, daughter and son-in-law Tracie (Straight) and Chris Tate, and stepdaughter Patty Stell. Also mourning the loss of this generous, charismatic and giving man are his grandchildren, Austin and Brooke Straight, Josh, Kayla, Juli and Jennifer Jagneaux, Joy and Kevin Chambers, Trinity, Faith and Grace Tate, Blake Mills, Chany Geraci and many lifelong and devoted friends. Tim was preceded in death by his father Clifford Straight and brother Roger Straight.
Though their hearts are broken, Tim's children are comforted in the knowledge that their father is enjoying peace that surpasses understanding and acknowledge that family is forever and all things are irrelevant when there is love.
A viewing will be held Thursday, February 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Church House in Hicks, La. with funeral services on Friday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at The Welcome Cemetery in Simpson, La with a reception following immediately after the graveside service at the Church of God in Simpson, La.
