Funeral Service for Thomas Earl Reid, 55, of Longville, LA, will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Thigpen officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Longville, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Mr. Reid passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011, at his residence in Longville, LA. Visitation will begin Tuesday, December 20, 2011,
3 PM until 9 PM at the funeral home.
Thomas was born on January 28, 1956, to Betty Muillins Reid and Willard Earl Reid at Natchez, Mississippi. He attended Boggy Creek Tabernacle Church in Longville, LA.
He always rode a bicycle everywhere he went. Thomas was a very loving person and he especially loved his grandchildren but most of all, he loved the Lord.
Survivors include Son, Thomas Reid of West Plains, MO; 4 Daughters, Michelle Reid of Longville, LA, Christy LaPoint of Orange, TX, Shawna Osborne of West Plains, MO and Chantel Barnes of Glendvie, MT; Brother, Bubba Reid of Ferriday, LA; 2 Sisters, Ann Cathey of Ponchatoula, LA and Edith Fontenot of Lafayette, LA; Mother and Step-Father, Betty and Roy Skaggs of Longville, LA and 5 grandchildren.
