Thomas "Tom" Postles' Obituary
Funeral services for Thomas Postles, 86, of Leesville will be held at 11AM, Monday, June 11th at the Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors. Friends may visit from 5pm until 8pm Sunday, June 10th at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Tom passed away, Thursday, June 7th at Grace Home, community residential hospice in Shreveport, LA. Tom always loved his outside work and gardening. He was an avid fan of baseball.
He was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He retired from the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and World War II. He also retired from civil service at Fort Polk after many years of service. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Retired Military Post #387 in New Llano. He was a long time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Leesville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Marianne S. Postles of Leesville; parents, Paul and Clara Johnson and brother of Dover, Del.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Marianne P. Marsh of Shreveport; sons, William Postles of Jacksonville, Fl and Thomas Postles, Jr. and his wife, Darlene of Shreveport; grandchildren, D.J. Marsh of Dover, Del, Kari M. Walker of Shreveport, Leslie Postles of Shreveport; great-grandchildren, Jaydyn Marsh of Dover, Del, and Colton Walker of Shreveport.
The family wishes to thank Tom’s long-time buddy, Johnny Hrachovy, for his support and friendship.
