Thomas Patrick Paddy's Obituary
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Thomas Patrick Paddy on February 4, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on May 29, 1944, in Leesville, Louisiana, Thomas was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose heart was as big as his love for life.
Thomas spent 56 wonderful years married to the love of his life, Susan Paddy. Their union was not just a marriage but an extraordinary partnership that served as a testament to love and commitment for all who knew them. Together, they raised a beautiful family that includes their beloved sons, Thomas "Jeff" Paddy, Kevin Paddy and his wife Kellie, and his cherished daughters, Lori Partridge and her husband, Wayne, and Kristi Paddy.
The joy of his life was amplified by his grandsons—Cody Partridge, Chasen Partridge, Briar Paddy, Kade Paddy, Ty Paddy, Kollin Paddy, Riley Josey, Kase Paddy, and Seth Degley along with his granddaughters, Janalisa Paddy, Lauren Fowler, Bailee Degley, and Payton Landry. Each grandchild held a special place in his heart, and he was their unwavering biggest fan, never missing a game or a moment to cheer them on. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Ryker, Ryatt, Hagan, Lawson, Chasen, Jr., Carter, Eliza Jayne, Cooper, Eloise, and Fallon, each bringing an extra sparkle to his life.
For many years, Thomas worked as an auto body repair man, where he demonstrated his incredible skill and artistry in refurbishing antique vehicles. His talents extended far beyond the workshop; he was a true outdoorsman with a profound love for fishing. His favorite place was at his camp on Lake Vernon, where he could be found casting a line or enjoying the beauty of nature. If he wasn't there, he was in a gym or at a ball field, proudly supporting his grandchildren, engaging in their athletic pursuits with a passion that inspired all.
He taught his family the invaluable lessons of hard work, the importance of friendship, and the joy of spending quality time together. He believed in living life to the fullest and was always ready for an adventure, lending a helping hand to those in need. His love for good food was matched only by his love for the company that came with it, especially at fish fries and BBQs, where laughter and stories were shared.
Thomas was preceded in death by his loving father, Joseph K. Paddy, and his mother, Eliza Jane Parker Paddy, his brothers—Buddy Paddy, Donald Paddy, Bo Paddy and Wilbur Paddy—and his sister, Doris Harry. He is survived by his brothers Floyd Paddy of Leesville, Louisiana, and Raymond Paddy and his wife Brenda of Leesville, Louisiana, along with his sister Betty Davis of Leesville, Louisiana.
As we celebrate his remarkable life, we invite family and friends to join us at Labby Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for a visitation. The funeral service will be on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Brister-Liberty Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.
