Thomas Corley's Obituary
Thomas L. Corley “Tommy”, 74, departed this life on Friday July 12, 2024, in the faith and knowledge of his Lord Jesus Christ. He was born on January 2, 1950 in San Angelo, Texas to Herman and Mary Lee Poore Corley.
Tommy is survived by his 3 children, Teresa McConathy (David) of Anacoco, LA, Delane Corley (Jessie) and Derek Corley both of Houston, Texas. Grandchildren, Aimee Ward (Klancy) and Haley Haymon (Tye) both of Anacoco, LA, Isabella, Gabriella, Lilana, Jacob and Garrett Corley, Allan Gay, Jr. of Houston, Texas. Joshua and Caleb Corley and their mother Lydia Branch Cook of Negreet, La. Great Grandchild, Eastyn Ward, and Victoria, Kylie and Jesse Haymon all of Anacoco La. Brothers, Johnny Corley (Brenda) of Florien, Alan Corley (Romona) of Deville, La, and sister, Mary Lee (Kitt) of Natchitoches, La. He had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry McCrary, and great granddaughter, Maicyn Leigh Ward.
Tommy was a 1968 graduate of Florien High School. He loved the outdoors and hunting. Over the years, he hunted fox, coon, turkey, hogs and deer. He raised hog hunting dogs that he shipped all over the US. His favorite dog was ole’ Country. He could fix most anything with a motor. The title he gave himself was “King of Toro Bottom”.
The family will receive friends on Friday August 16, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and a celebration of life at 3:00 p.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Reverend Wayne Chance will officiate the service. A private burial will take place at a later time.
