Tommy was one of My very best friends during those high school years at Leesville High School and for many years after...Served in the Air Force together, even bumped into each other during Air Force Basic Training in 1966. Heard someone just-a-laughing and pointing at Me. It was Tom Bastow laughing at tge extreme short haircut I had down to the skin! His of course, was no different! Back when we first met, He taught Me how to rebuild a carburetor on my front porch one time. Later, I taught him how to run projectors at the Pines Drive Inn Theatre in Leesville - so that I could quit and have time for dates before I joined the service four months later. Never would have thought I'd run into him dur8ng basic training! We always would talk about the same ole things we use to do and such...I had been trying to get back with him for the last couple years...He certainly, will be missed by many...
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Sorry about you loss. Unfortunately I didn't know Tommy directly, but I knew his father Frank well, so I know he must have been a wonderful person. God Blaes.
TOMMY was a dear friend during high school. Lost touch years ago but still considered him a friend. Always had that great smile when he saw you coming. May God Bless his family left behind and may he now rest peacefully.
