Therman Farrell Ellzey's Obituary
Therman Farrell Ellzey was born in Ellisville, Mississippi on December 13, 1942 to parents, Therman Roy Ellzey and Lula Eddis Winberly Ellzey of Big Creek in Jones County, Mississippi. God peacefully came for Farrell on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Farrell joined the Air Force at the age of 18, where he did Basic Training in North Texas. He was an airplane mechanic working on F-4 Fighter Planes. He was stationed in Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada, Wake Island, Thailand, North Carolina, Cushion, Korea also served in Tenda, Florida, Austin, Texas, San Francisco, California and Hawaii. He served 12 years. He worked at Mauldin Radio for 31 years, while he also worked at Laurel Airport as a Mechanic, also had his business as an Electronic Engineer doing repairs on Radio Stations.
Farrell loved his Christian work, working as a Secretary Treasure, Sound Person and many other church work. He was always willing to help anywhere he was needed.
Preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Linda Ellzey O’Farrell McCartney, one brother, Eddie Harold Ellzey, wives Betty Fessenden Ellzey and Margie Deason Nolen Ellzey.
Survived by his wife of three years, Patricia Carver Ellzey, four sons, T. Richard Ellzey and wife Dianne of Corinth, Mississippi, Sean Ellzey and wife Tracy of Las Vegas, Nevada, David Frank Ellzey and wife Sarah of Jones County, Mississippi, Kevin Duncan Ellzey and wife Liz of Jones County, Mississippi, step-daughter, Sylvia Dowden of Leesville, Louisiana, two brothers, Ricky Ellzey and wife Carol of Tucker Crossing, Ellisville, Mississippi, Timmy Ellzey of Pahrump, Nevada, four sisters, Carolyn Ellzey LuRue of Cupertino, California, Patricia Ellzey Wheeler of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Connie Ellzey Martin of Colorado, Brenda Ellzey O’Farrell of Henderson, Nevada, father and mother-in-law Cullen Carver and LaVern Carver of Burr Ferry, Louisiana, grandchildren, Alex S. Ellzey, R. Stanton Ellzey, Paul Ellzey, Cory Ellzey, Joshua Ellzey, Greg Ellzey, Amber Ellzey, Travis Ellzey, Annie Ellzey, Olivia S. Ellzey and three great grandchildren.
Officiating will be Rev. Wesley Jackson and Rev. Tony Warren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M., Monday, December 27, 2021 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will be at Castor Baptist Church Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 4 P.M.-9 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Donovan Dugan, Jody Perkins, Ronnie Addison, Paul Patrick, Jody Lucier and Creston Wright.
