Thelma May O'Banion's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma May O’Banion will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday January 19, 2009 in the Pine Hill Baptist Church in Leesville with the Rev. D.R. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mrs. O’Banion was a native of Bonham Texas. She was a Foster parent and a seamstress while she lived in Texas. She moved to Vernon Parish 19 years ago. She was a Homemaker who loved canning. She also served as a volunteer at the Helping Hands ministry in Leesville.
Mrs. O’Banion is preceded in death by One son – Eric O’Banion, Her Sister and Brother-in-law – Florence & Bobby Gene Bush and Four Brothers
She is survived by: Husband- Chris O’Banion of Leesville; Two Sons – Steven Whitten of Vidor, Tx., Michael and wife Terri Whitten of Vidor, Texas; Daughter-in-law – Brenda O’Banion of Leesville, La.; Four Daughters and Son’s in law – Darla & Kenneth Ross of Lenard, Tx, Sonya Gayle & Douglas Savell of Leesville, Cindy & Russel Lyon of DeRidder, La., and LaWanda & Brian Case of Leesville.; Brother – Lawrance McKinney of Oklahoma; 25 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren
Visitation will be held at the Pine Hill Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday, January 19, 2009
