Thelma Pauline McFatter Hill's Obituary
Funeral services for Thelma Pauline McFatter Hill, 83, of Rosepine, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Deridder with Rev. Johnny Bosley officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 2nd from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 3rd from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Thelma, the daughter of Acie B. and Mary Harper McFatter was born on May 8, 1932, in Sugartown, LA. She passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, in Sulphur, LA.
Mrs. Hill graduated from Sugartown High School. She married Joseph E. Hill and traveled the world with him until he retired from the U.S. Air Force. They were married for 55 years. She was a resident of Rosepine for the past 44 years. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church in DeRidder. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph E. Hill, Sr.; son, Charles E. Hill and granddaughter, Martha Carlee.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph E. Hill, Jr., (Lesta) of Crestview, FL and Billy R. Hill (Susan) of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Cynthia Ann Husband (John) of Call, TX; brother, Russell McFatter of Cairo, GA; sister, Winnie Sanders of Sugartown, LA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
