Thelma Mae Chandler's Obituary
Funeral services for Thelma Mae Chandler, 85, of Leesville will be held at 2 p.m, Thursday July 3, at the Flactor Baptist Church with Rev. Huey Haymon Officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Springs Cemetery in Fort Polk.
Friends may call from 5 pm, on Wednesday July 2 until time of service on Thursday July 3, in the church.
Thelma passed away Monday June 30, 2008 in the Westwood Manor in DeRidder, LA.
She was born in Fullerton, LA and has been a longtime resident of the Vernon Parish Area. She was a member of the Flactor Baptist Church in Hicks, LA. She loved to work in her yard and garden and she loved flowers.
She was a loving wife; mother, grandmother, and friend and she will be greatly missed.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Amos Chandler, Sr.
She is survived by her three sons, Amos Chandler Jr. (wife June) of Hicks, LA, William Edward Chandler (wife Cindy) of Hicks, LA, Randel Payton Chandler (wife Joy) of Hicks, LA; three daughters, Martha Louise Brinkley (husband Lee) of Pitkin, LA, Margaret Ann Dixon (husband Melvin) of Hicks, LA, Linda Mae Smith (husband Gene) of Hicks, LA; 17 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
