Funeral services for Teddy Lee Puckett, 74, of Longville, LA, will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at 11 AM on Monday, February 23, 2015, at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Fort Polk, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Mr. Puckett passed from this life on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at his residence.
Visitation will be held at 5 PM until 9 PM, Friday, February 20, 2015, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
Teddy was born on Saturday, March 9, 1940, to Dodge and Ethel Draper Puckett in West Virginia but lived most of his life in Longville, LA. He was a retired United States Air Force Veteran serving in Viet Nam during the war and various other duty stations throughout the world. Teddy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longville, LA. He enjoyed playing video games with his grandsons and great grandsons.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Norma Cooley Puckett of Longville, LA; 2 sons, Brian Puckett and wife Alyssa of Longville, LA and Daniel Puckett of Longville, LA; 1 brother, Jimmy Puckett of Murfreesboro, TN; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Ray Puckett and 1 sister, June Woods.
