Steve L. Wilson's Obituary
Funeral services for Steve L. Wilson, 65, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 30, 2013, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2013, from 3 pm - 7 pm, and on Monday, December 30th from 8am until time of service at the funeral home.
Steve, the son of John Wilson, Jr., and Ida V. Hawkins Wilson was born January 14, 1948, in Alexandria, VA. He passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in Leesville, LA.
Mr. Wilson retired as a Sergeant First Class from the United States Army after more than twenty years of service. During his service he received the Vietnam Service Medal with one Service Star and the Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Chong Wilson of Leesville, LA; daughter, Autumn Ann Wilson of Ohio; sister, Patricia Ann Hoffman of Harper’s Ferry, WV; brother, John W. Wilson of Harper’s Ferry, WV; sister, Charlene Martin of Harper’s Ferry, WV; three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
