Stella Reese Lee
Funeral service for Stella Carlena Reese Lee, 72, of Hornbeck, LA will be 2:00 PM – Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Family Worship Center – 601 E. Mechanic St - Leesville, LA the burial will follow in the Old Leesville Cemetery – Leesville, LA. The Dr. Joseph A. Bathe and Rev. Wilburn “Dub” Williams will officate.
Stella passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at her residence in Hornbeck, LA
Friends may visit Friday, Sept 14th from 5 PM until 9 PM in the Church and then Saturday, Sept. 15th from 10 AM until service time in the church.
She was born in Lake Charles and lived most of her life in Vernon Parish. She retired from Phoenix Drug Store as a clerk after 43 years. She was the eldest daughter of the founder of Leesville Full Gospel Church, now known as Family Worship Center, where she has been a faithful and lifelong member. In the last few years she served as a volunteer at the Faith Training Christian Academy. The family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Family Worship Center's building fund for the Family Life Center.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years C. D. Lee; her parents Rev. John and Lottie Reese.
She is survivied by her sons, Jerry (wife, Denise) Lee of Pensacola, FL, Sammy (wife, Sherry) Lee of Hornbeck, LA and Keith (wife, Sharen) Lee of Hornbeck, LA; Daughter, Frances (husband, Melvin) Hatten of Branson, MO; Brothers:Frank (wife, Mildred) Reese of Leesville Richard (wife, Margie) Reese of Leesville; Sister, Elaine McDowell (husband, Don) of Bonner Springs, Kansas; Aunt, Frances “Piffy” Thompson of Leesville, LA; 9 Nieces and Nephews; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
