Stanley A. Zachary's Obituary
Stanley A. Zachary, 73, of Leesville, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 in Alexandria.
Mr. Zachary was a native of Jacksonville, Ill., but had lived in Leesville for the past 34 years. He was a retired E-6 with the United States Army and was retired from Civil Service at Fort Polk as a clerk and computer operator.
He was a member of the VFW and the Korean War Veterans Chapter 180. He was a founding member of the Louisiana Computer Club and very active with the Vernon Council on Aging in Leesville.
Mr. Zachary is survived by his wife of 51 years, Irene Zachary of Leesville; three daughters, Sherril Martin of Leesville, Regina Twigg of Leesville and Christel Cook of Texas; two sons, Jeffrey Zachary of South Carolina and John Zachary of Utah; 11 grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Lee Zachary and Hallie Wood Zachary.
