Shirley A. Taylor's Obituary
Shirley A. Taylor entered peacefully into rest on Monday, January 10, 2022, at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 18 days, at the Beauregard Health Systems in DeRidder. Shirley was born on Thursday, March 23, 1944, in Anacoco, LA to Athern Thurman and Pearl Guntor Whitley.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the Chapel with visitation starting at 9:00 AM until the time of service which will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in DeRidder. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Shirley loved to cook, bake & decorate cakes. She also loved to cut grass, the outdoors and animals. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Brenda Perkins and husband Ebbie Wayne, and Tina Chamberlain; nephews, Richard Franklin and wife Rhonda, and Joseph Storoszyszyn; sister, Wanda Sue Franklin and husband Sherman; special friend Brenda Neal; and a multitude of great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, W.B. Taylor; sisters, Bobby Storoszyszyn and infant brother.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jake Perkins, Eric Perkins, Kyle Franklin, Ricky Franklin, Joseph Storoszyszyn and Sam Franklin.
Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearer is Kaden Arnold.
