Shirley L. Hyack's Obituary
Shirley L Hyack at 95 years old, passed away peacefully while under hospice care at her daughter's home in Deridder, Louisiana.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to George and Matilda Trupke. Shirley spent almost all her life in Oconomowoc and Okauchee Lake area in Wisconsin. After WWII, she worked as an executive secretary and later worked in the office at Hystro Products that her husband, Robert Hyack, founded. Outside of work and raising family, she enjoyed volunteering, traveling, golfing and social activities at Lac LaBelle Golf Club. After her husband passed in 1976 she was blessed by meeting Ralph Singer, her second love and enjoyed his company for 25 years.
Shirley had an active mind, was an avid reader, crossword enthusiast, Wheel of Fortune viewer, and a loyal Badger and Packer football fan until the day she passed. Yearly she travelled 1200 miles to the Hyack cottage in WI to enjoy lakeside living where family vacationed together. She led a full life and will be missed.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Robert L Hyack, brother, Douglas Trupke, and Ralph Singer. She is survived by her two children, Randall Hyack who resides in Advance, North Carolina and Lynn (Hyack) Mulero who resides in Deridder, Louisiana. She has three grandchildren: Jeffrey Hyack, Danielle (Hyack) Hanily and Robert Mulero. Her five great-grandchildren are Trevor and Tess Hanily, plus Abigail, Anabel, and Alexa Hyack.
Per her wishes, a private memorial will be held in WI for immediate family.
