Sharon Dianne Keathley's Obituary
Funeral services for Sharon Dianne Keathley, 69, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Tommy Kiker officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service in the chapel.
Sharon, the oldest daughter of Janeva E. and Alfred Zane Turner, was born on March 3rd, 1953 in Freising, Germany. Sharon passed away on 10 February 2023 after suffering a brain hemorrhage while still in the hospital four weeks following lung transplant surgery.
After leaving a celebrated career with the United States Federal Civil Service at Ft. Polk, Louisiana in 1995, Sharon went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Nursing at Louisiana State University in Alexandria and become a Registered Nurse; she served the Vernon Parish community for nearly 20 years in that capacity. Known for her exceptionally strong character, wit and selflessness, Sharon was regarded as a mentor by many, and by many others, a fierce advocate and invaluable friend.
She is survived by her one and only son Lieutenant Colonel Michael Zane Keathley, US Army, of Macomb, Michigan, and two sisters, Vicki Lynn Turner of Simpson and Sandra Gail Turner of Leesville.
