Gathering for Sharla Jean Moore, 66, of Merryville, LA will be held Friday, February 24, 2017, at 11 AM with a memorial service following at 1 PM, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Morris Goins officiating.
Sharla the daughter of Jerald Thompson and Jackie Charlene Wimberly Sowell was born on February 18, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017, in Merryville, LA.
Sharla lived most of her life in Houston, Texas and has lived in the Knight Community, LA area for the past 20 years. She was formerly employed as a manager at Nifty-Fifty in DeRidder, LA. She was a member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church in the Knight Community. She enjoyed reading and playing Clue on her computer.
She is survived by her son, “Scooter” Moore of Conway, AR ; daughters, Barbara Jean Krueger (Tim) of Brenham, TX; Kerri Lynn Shillow of Merryville, LA; sister Kimberly Ann Gemelli of Slidell, LA; niece Destiny MaKayla Gemelli; Step-father Rev. Jack V. Jones ; 4 grandchildren, Jaclyn Leeria Moore, Razavier Moore, Raziah Shillow, Razadryn Shillow.
