Funeral services for Shanna Gaye McKee Thompson, 42, of Rosepine, LA, will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Minister will be Rev. Gary Bankson. Burial will be in Rosepine Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Shanna passed from this life on Sunday, August 4, 2013, in Rosepine, LA.
Visitation begins on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home in DeRidder, LA.
Shanna was born on June 16, 1971, to Brenda Weeks McKee and Dalton McKee at DeRidder, LA. She graduated from Rosepine High School and was a lifetime resident of Vernon Parish.
Survivors include 1 son, Clayton Dalton Thompson of Rosepine, LA; 1 brother, Dalton Cody McKee of New Orleans, LA; her parents, Brenda McKee and Dalton Benard McKee of Rosepine, LA and grandparents, Louise Weeks and Gaye McKee of Rosepine, LA. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Benard McKee and Jesse Weeks. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
