Samuel "Sammy" Thompson's Obituary
Funeral services for Samuel “Sammy” Thompson, 78, of New Llano will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 in the New Llano Baptist Church with Rev’s Les Comeaux and Randy Boswell officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14th at the Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor Texas under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 13th from 5 pm - 9 pm, then Saturday, December 14th , from 8 am until service time in the church.
Sammy the son of William Marcus & Lola Jane Moss Thompson was born on June 28, 1935 in Leesville, La. He moved to Vidor Texas in 1972 and was a member of the Pipefitters and Plumbers Local # 195 for over 35 years. He passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in New Llano, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 42 years Juanita Wedgeworth Thompson; and two brothers: Walter Thompson and Billy Thompson.
Sammy is survived by: his Sister: Patsy Perkins of New Llano, La.; One Sister-in-law: Faye Garrett of Vidor Texas; Three Nieces: Reitha and husband Randy Boswell of Leesville, Sharon Perkins of New Llano, and Sherrica and husband Ralph Littlefield of Albany, Ga.; And a host of great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews
