Samuel Ford's Obituary
Funeral services for Samuel R. Ford, 82, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Church of Christ House of Prayer, 1100 Nona Street, Leesville, LA. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove in Leesville, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 10 am – until service time, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the church.
Samuel, the son of Andrew and Mittie Barnes Ford was born on January 6, 1929, in Hawthorne, Louisiana. He passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, LA. He was married to the late Carrie Hollins-Ford.
He is survived by his four children; sons, David Ford of Modesto, CA, Jerry Ford (Andrea) of Leesville, LA & Otis Ford of Leesville, LA; one daughter, Sheila Ford-Collins of Leesville, LA. He leaves 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is survived by one sister, Dorothy Ford of DeRidder, LA. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
All food can be brought to the church between 9 A.M. until 12 noon.
