Salvador R. Suarez's Obituary
Salvador “Sal” R. Suarez, 87, born February 6, 1932, in Houston, Texas, and passed from his earthly home June 3, 2019, in DeRidder, LA.
Memorial service will be held Friday, June 7, 2019, at 3:00 PM, in the New Life Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Jerry Key and Rev. Michael Preece officiating.
Sal thoroughly enjoyed working for Schlumberger in their engineering department as a senior designer and subsequently for several engineering firms in Louisiana and other states. Sal's greatest joy was reading history books and the Bible. He had a quiet gentle spirit about him and loved spending time with family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 happy years, Yvonne Frusha Suarez; sister, Carmen Matthews; and daughters, Debbie (Steve) Hall, and Denise Lichtenauer; grandchildren, Larisa (Chad) Cronce, Brian (Chanta) Lichtenauer, Chris Lichtenauer, Jeremy Clarkson, Ryan (Katelin) Hall and Troy (Victoria) Hall; great-grandchildren, Rees A. Cronce, Brice A. Cronce, Jayce A. Cronce, Kaitlyn M. Lichtenauer, Austin J.. Hall, and Rhett E. Hall.
Preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria Suarez; sons, Randy Lichtenauer, Joseph Suarez, Chris Suarez; and daughter, Veronica Lopez; grandson, Justin Dorociak; great-grandson, Cameron Lichtenauer.
