Ruthie Ann Prickett, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, in Anacoco, Louisiana. Born on November 5, 1946, in Winnfield, Louisiana to Kersh and Rebecca Parker, Ruthie lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family.
A woman defined by selflessness and dedication to those around her, Ruthie found fulfillment in caring for others above all else. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to human companions but also included Booger—the dog who held a special place in her heart. Whether it was fishing, horses or Canton flea markets—these moments brought joy to her life.
Preceded in death by her parents Kersh and Rebecca Parker as well as daughter Paula Prickett Huntington.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Milton Pricket; daughter, Rhonda Prickett Perry; grandchildren: Chastitee Numbers; Michael Numbers II (Lauren); Brandon Perry (Brittany), as well as four great-grandchildren—Carolyne McDonald; Alexis Perry; Charlotte Numbers; and Michael Numbers III; brother, Bobby Parker (Donna) and sister, Patricia Sibley (Jerry).
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville at 11:00 A.M. Caleb Simmons officiating. Visitation will begin March 21st from 10:00 A.M., until time of service allowing friends and family alike the opportunity to pay their respects, Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery, Natchitoches, Louisiana .
