Ruth Ann Moses' Obituary
Ruth Ann Burgess Moses, 75, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. She was born on January 6, 1951, in Kinder, Louisiana, to Clifford Burgess and Emma Picard Burgess.
Ruth shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Arnold Glen Moses. Together they built a home centered on faith, family, laughter, and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Burgess and Emma Picard Burgess; her beloved daughter, Amanda Sue Moses; and her brother, Steve Burgess.
Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband, Arnold Glen Moses; her brothers, Edmond Lee Miller of Hooks, Texas, William Burgess of Oberlin , Louisiana, Timothy Burgess of Dry Creek, Louisiana, and Clifford Burgess of Grant, Louisiana; her sister, Sandra Ipes of Sugartown, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Tyler Adams and wife, Judith, Tanner Neely and husband, Shawn, and Emma Lemoine; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Taitum, and Hiram, along with extended family members, and dear friends.
Ruth was a woman full of determination, joy, and unmistakable spirit. She was hardworking, outgoing, and never met a stranger. With a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor, she had a remarkable ability to make others smile. Her greatest gift was loving people, and she found genuine happiness in seeing those around her happy.
She found peace tending to her beautiful flower gardens and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Ruth also enjoyed traveling, cooking delicious meals for her family, and indulging in a little retail therapy—especially shopping at Cato and Bealls. Whether sharing a meal, telling a story, or simply visiting with a friend, Ruth had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved.
Her legacy is one of kindness, laughter, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
