Ruby Shoemake Hall's Obituary
“Built on His Rock”
On Sunday August 5th, 2018, Mrs. Ruby Shoemake Hall entered into the gates of Heaven at 93 years old. She was reunited with her husband, Lee Roy Hall and son, Gilman Hall.
“Maw” was family to so many and loved by all. She is survived by her children, Wayne and Dawn Hall of Longville; Janice and Ronnie Courville of Longville; and Tommy and Laura Hall of Nikiski, Alaska. Her biggest joys in life were her 14 grandkids; 45 great grandkids; and 18 great-great grandkids.
Her life was lived serving others. Other than her 4 children, Maw raised 36 foster kids over the course of her last 52 years.
As an active member of First Baptist Church of Longville and faithful Christian woman, she was the true definition of a warrior! She played a vital role in leading so many to Christ. One of her final moments on the Earth, she was told she is the rock of this family. Her response was only that she is “Built on His Rock”. She never passed up an opportunity to make it about Jesus and is now wearing her crown of jewels.
Maw will be missed terribly until we meet again.
