Roy Lam's Obituary
Funeral services for Roy Lam, 59, of DeRidder, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Roy Lam was born July 22, 1955. He passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015, in Lake Charles, LA.
Roy's entire life revolved around his dedication to his family. His children were the center of his world. Roy was born in Washington. His father retired from the military. Growing up Roy lived in Virginia and then settled in Louisiana after he graduated from high school. He worked as a saw operator and a gates-man at the Leesville Lumber Co for 25 years. He loved working with weights, fishing, and camping. Roy was a jokester and was always able to make you laugh. He enjoyed wrestling, football and collecting Native American articles.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Lam of DeRidder, LA; children, Charles Clark, of Florida, Toni Lam of DeRidder, Veronica Clark of DeRidder, Chris Lam of DeRidder, Marion Beason of DeRidder, Tiffany Lam of Kirbyville, TX & Roy E. Lam of DeRidder; brothers, Eddie Lam of Hornbeck, William Lam of McGaheysville, VA & Jerry Smith of Leesville; sisters, Anita Pigman of Leesville & Julie McDowell of Florien and fifteen grandchildren.
