Funeral services for Rosie Bell Byrd, 92, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011, at St. Paul Baptist Church, Inc. in Leesville with Rev. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery in Leesville, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 10 am – until time of service, Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the church.
Rosie, the daughter of Otto Daniel and Estella Johnson was born on June 27, 1919, in Zwolle, Louisiana. She passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, LA.
She is survived by her sons, Jesse Johnson of Shreveport, LA, Leedell Acey, Jr., of Holdenville, OK & Eddie Roy Acey of Florien, LA; daughter, Mildred Moore of Leesville,LA; uncle, Floyda Johnson of Florien, LA; aunt, Idabee Gassoway of Many, LA; 20 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends.
