Rosalie Mary Allain's Obituary
Rosalie Mary Allain, aged 82, passed away on March 8, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Leesville, Louisiana. Born on November 4, 1942, Rosalie was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Rosalie was the daughter of Sam L. Piranio, Sr., and Ruby Young Piranio. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 36 years, Dr. James Layne Allain, D.D.S., as well as her father and mother, Sam and Ruby, and her brother, Sam Piranio. Though she has left this world, her indelible spirit and love for her family will continue to resonate with those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her five sons: Stephen Allain and his wife Holly of Panama City, Florida; Jude Allain and his wife Tanya of Rosepine, Louisiana; John Allain and his wife Carla of Simpson, Louisiana; Luke Allain of Columbus, Georgia; and Matthew Allain and his wife Mandy of Leesville, Louisiana. Rosalie also leaves behind her two daughters: Stephanie Sanders of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and Rosie Allain of Anacoco, Louisiana. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kylie, Lonzie, Seth, Ean, Ashlyn, Steven, Tyler, Sarina, Logan, Ava, Jaxon, Noah, Simon, Airon, Emily, and Meghan, as well as her great-grandchildren: Chris, Andre, Adallain, Chanler, Aubree, Baylor, Camille, Roslyn, Clara, Weston, Lawson, and Kasen. She also leaves behind her sister, Carrie Liliedahl, and her husband, Gayle, of Leesville, Louisiana, and her sister-in-law, Cynthia Piranio, of Leesville, Louisiana—a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rosalie was known for her adventurous spirit, always embracing new experiences with laughter and joy. She loved to travel, indulging her curiosity about the world and its diverse cultures. At home, she cherished her time collecting cookbooks and finding delight in cooking shows that inspired her culinary creativity. Rosalie was a puzzle enthusiast and a voracious reader with a particular fondness for suspense novels and movies.
Her heart swelled with love when she was surrounded by her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and a sense of purpose. Whether it was enjoying sunny days at Vernon Lake or sharing stories and laughter, she made every moment count, and her family was her pride and joy. Rosalie had a unique ability to observe the world around her, bringing warmth and understanding to every interaction. She valued quiet moments, finding peace in reflection and connection.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Labby Memorial Chapel in Leesville, 601 S. Fourth St., Leesville, LA 71446.
The Rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. under the direction of Father Adam Travis. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Rev. Wesley S. Manning.
In celebrating Rosalie's life, we remember her unwavering love for family, her adventurous spirit, and the laughter she shared with those she held dear. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy of love, kindness, and adventure will forever inspire all who knew her.
