Ronald M. Roberts Sr.'s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family shares the news of the passing of their beloved Ronald "Ronnie" Roberts. Ronnie was born on September 5th, 1951 in Leesville, Louisiana to Wilber and Maurene Roberts. He passed away on August 22nd at Riverside Long Term Acute Care in Alexandria. He was a life-long citizen of Leesville and a proud member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. After graduating from Leesville High School in 1969 he joined the US Air Force and served from 1969 to 1975. When he returned home and ended his military service Ronnie worked as a mechanic, a career he continued to tinker with long after closing the shop doors to Roberts Repair Service.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, James Freshwater. He is survived by: his loving wife of 29 years , Cornelia "Connie" Roberts of Leesville; sister, Wilma Freshwater of Jackson, Mississippi, brother-in-law, Jim and nephew, Richard; his four children, Ronald Jr., David, Daniel and Elizabeth all of Leesville and two stepsons, Russell, of Dallas, Texas and Joseph, of Anacoco, Figueroa. Ronnie was the proud grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of three with one more on the way. He also has a large extended family who, along with his immediate family will miss him dearly.
The viewing will take place on Sunday, August 25th from 5:30 to 8 pm at Pine Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26th at 10 am also at Pine Hill Baptist Church.
