Ronald Keith Everett, a beloved husband, father, stepfather, brother, and grandfather, passed away on May 9, 2026, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Born on April 21, 1957, in Durham, North Carolina to Dick and Janie Everett—who preceded him in death—Ronald lived a life filled with kindness and generosity that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Cindi Broadus of Leesville, LA; his son Ryan Keith Everett from Kinston, NC; stepson Hunter Broadus of New Caney, TX; stepdaughter Morgan Gesin and her husband Shane from Fort Polk, LA; sister Jane Farmer from Gallatin, TN; as well as three cherished grandchildren: Bethany Broadus, Maverick Havens and Owen Gesin.
He was kind, giving, funny, loving and generous- the kind of person who made people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. His heart was always open to others, and his generosity touched countless lives. He loved deeply and gave freely, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.
A passionate sports enthusiast at heart, Ronald found joy in watching college basketball—especially cheering for the Tarheels—and football games. He also enjoyed playing pool. However, nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his grandchildren.
He was an avid Carolina fan, his famous saying was “I have two favorite teams, the Tarheels and whoever is playing Duke”. He especially enjoyed the rivalry with his sister who is a Duke fan.
As we remember Ronald’s vibrant spirit today—the warmth he shared so freely will forever remain etched in our hearts. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date to honor this remarkable man whose legacy lives on through each life he touched.
