Ronald Lee Brister's Obituary
Funeral services for Ronald Lee Brister, 62, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. Morris Dale Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Cemetery in Leesville, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 8 pm, Sunday, April 10, 2011, and on Monday, from 8:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Ronald, the son of Louis and Flaudie Nash Brister was born on April 11, 1948, in Leesville, Louisiana. He passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011, at the V.A. Medical Center in Pineville, LA. Mr. Brister was a loving husband, brother, & father. He served his country honorably for 14 years in the U.S. Navy and was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louie L. Brister & Jerry D. Brister and sister, Lonie B. Dowden.
He is survived by his wife, Jerry Brister of Leesville, LA; son, Ronald J. Brister & Paula of Portland, OR; daughter, Kathleen Wentz & Mike of Portland, OR; stepchildren, Maggie Worthington & Donald of Winterhaven, FL & Lawrence Oberlitner of Crowley, LA; brother, Louis C. Brister & Dorrell of Pineville, LA and grandchildren, Nancy Arnold, Gavin Brister, Hunter Worthington & Ella Brister.
