Ron Dowden's Obituary
Funeral services for Ron Dowden, 60, of Beaumont, TX will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco, LA with Rev. Les Comeaux and Rev. Wallace Palmer officiating. The burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, June 26th from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the church. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana.
Mr. Dowden passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in Beaumont, Texas. Ron was born and raised in Anacoco, LA and graduated in 1967 from Anacoco High School. He worked in the transportation industry as a driver and terminal manger, and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louie David and Dorothy Dowden.
He is survived by his wife of twenty years Nelda Shavers Dowden of Beaumont, TX; son James David Dowden of Haughton, LA; daughters Tracey (husband, Rick) Meyer of Cabot, AR, Terrie (husband, Carter) Godwin of Beaumont, TX; Paula (husband, Kevin) DeHart of Silsbee, TX and Amy (husband, Chris) Coco of Austin, TX; brother Buddy (wife, Judy) Dowden of Anacoco, LA; sisters Linda A. Dowden of Canton, MS, Kathy D. (husband, Charles) Addison of Anacoco, LA and Pam D. (husband, Rod) Perkins of Ozark, AR and eleven grandchildren.
