Roger Dale McLaren's Obituary
Funeral services for Roger D. McLaren, 64, of Anacoco will be held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday January 13, 2009 in the Labby Memorial Funeral home Chapel in Leesville with the Rev. Wallace Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mr. McLaren passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 in the Doctors Hospital in Leesville. He was retired after 34 years with Coca Cola Bottling Company as a Machine Technician. He attended the Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco. He enjoyed woodworking, but his favorite hobby was spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Mr. McLaren was preceded in death by: Two Sons: Roger Dale McLaren Jr., and Robert David McLaren; and one brother: Kenneth McLaren
He is survived by: his wife of 41 years Hattie McLaren of Anacoco, La.; One Daughter and Son-in-law: Donna and Joey Harvey of Knight Community; One Brother – James B. McLaren of Benton, Ark.; One Sister – Dorothy Evans of Pickering, La.; Three Very Special Brother-in-laws: Jimmy Walker Jr. of Pickering, Richard Walker of Anacoco, La. and Kenneth Walker of Anacoco, La.; Three Grandchildren: Elizabeth “Scooter” Harvey, Madison “Pooter” Harvey and Dawson “Little Man” Harvey. And a host of Special Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 2p.m til 9p.m. and on Monday, January 12, 2009 from 8a.m. til 9p.m. and on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 8a.m. until service time.
