Robert "Bob" Sewell's Obituary
Service for Bob Sewell of DeRidder will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, January 12, 2008 atFirst United Methodist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Robert Byron Sewell was born on the 9th day of May, 1923 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Dewitt Clinton and Lillian Gibbs Sewell. He entered eternal rest Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 1 day.
Bob was a resident of DeRidder since 1956. He formerly owned Sewell Concrete in DeRidder and Leesville Concrete in Leesville. He was a former City Council member and served as a Board Member for National Bank of Commerce and First National Bank in DeRidder. Bob was a member of the DeRidder Rotary Club for over fifty years and was a past president of the club. He was a graduate of Texas A & M with a degree in civil engineering.
