Robert Glenn Legg's Obituary
Funeral services for Robert Glenn Legg, Sr., 65, of Newton Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Pastor Stephen Doughtary officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebeneezer Cemetery in Hicks, La., under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 9 pm, Monday, January 9, 2012, at the funeral home.
Robert the son of Lincoln Theodore and Pearlie Haymon Legg was born in Leesville, La. He was a devoted husband and Father who loved spending time with his family. He was an elder at the Crossroads Christian Fellowship church in Newton, Tx. During his life he owned and operated several business’ but his most important work was in the last 20 years of his life when he became a faithful witness for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mr. Legg loved and cherished his entire family and prayed for them daily.
Mr. Legg was preceded in death by his parents; Five Brothers: Ted Legg, Donald Legg, C.E. Legg, Lamar Legg, and Vernon “Boots” Legg; One Sister: Blanche Haymon; One Granddaughter: Kourtney Cheyenne Legg
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years: Carol Jeane Legg of Newton, Tx., Three Children: Tammy Kazmierski of Pearland, Tx., Robert Legg Jr. of Newton, and Christina Solomon of Newton; Two Sisters: Ella Nolen of Leesville, La., and Gladys Monk of Hicks, La.; Seven Grandchildren: Kyle Wayne Allen, Kody Robert Allen, Kaitlin Michelle Allen, Kennedy Nicole Allen, Casey Rae Legg, Camryn Kazmierski, and Colton Kazmierski; Two Great Grandchildren: Austin & Bradley
