Robert K. Farquhar's Obituary
Robert K. Farquhar, 63, passed away at 6:44 PM, Thursday, November 1, 2007 at his residence in DeRidder.
He was a native and lifelong residence of DeRidder. He was a graduate of DeRidder High School and McNeese State university where he earned his undergraduate degree in Education and Masters plus 30 in Education Supervision. he taught school in Beauregard Parish for 32 years, teaching in Ragley School, South Beauregard High School, DeRidder High School and retired as Principal of Hyatt High School. he was a member of the Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Rosepine, LA He was an avid hnter and fisherman, he belonged to numerous educational and professional associations.
Robert is survivied by his wife, Sharon Gallaway Farquhar of DeRidder; daughter Belinda Strittmatter and husband Rich of Moss Bluff; sister Anna Ruth
Partin and husband Ted of Lake Charles, LA; one grandchild, Robert Cole Strittmatter and he is also survived and loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert's funeral will be at 2pm, Sunday, November 4th in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder the Rev. Lynn Clayton and Elder Peir Miers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery In DeRidder. Visitation in the funeral home from 3pm until 9pm Saturday, November 3rd and then Sunday, November 4th from 10am until service time in the funeral home.
