Robert Gary Curry's Obituary
Robert Gary Curry, 72, passed away in his home in Rosepine, Louisiana, on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, November 18, 2011, in Labby memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Arlen Smith and Rev. Kenny Lowry officiating. Burial will follow in Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be held from 5P.M. until 8 P.M., Thursday, November 17, 2011, in the funeral home.
Robert was born in Bessman, Texas, August 28, 1939. He was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years, Martha, his parents, Elby and Emma Curry, brother James Curry and his half sister, Doris Clyburn.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory three daughters, Patricia Credeur and husband Jeff of Welsh, LA, Janet LaBiche and husband Scott of Lake Charles, LA, and Licia Kleinpeter and husband David of DeRidder, LA; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Robert was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was retired from Central Louisiana Electric Company (CLECO). He was a member of American Legion Post 27 in DeRidder. He was a volunteer for disabled Veterans and also worked for Qubic at Fort Polk, LA, for a number of years and was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Cravens, LA. Robert looked forward to spending time and sharing stories with friends, his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
