Robert Erwin "Bob" Moore's Obituary
Funeral services for Robert Edwin “Bob” Moore, 80, of Anacoco, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 9, 2021 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Jarrell & Rev. Bill Smithson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sycamore Cemetery in Burkeville, Texas.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
Robert Edwin “Bob” Moore was born on July 11, 1941 to Bruce and Ella Moore. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 6, 2021.
Bob grew up in Coffee, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He then moved to Orange, Texas where he met the love of his life Dortha Richmond. They then moved to Burkeville, Texas and stayed there for many years. Later on they moved to Burr Ferry, Louisiana and made that their forever home.
Bob and Dot went on and had four beautiful children, Bobby, Regina, Patricia and Roxana. Bob was a carpenter in Orange, Texas for many years and then went to work at Fort Polk until he retired. Bob loved to fish and hunt and that is a gift he has handed down to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bob loved to talk about Jesus and would share his love about Jesus with any and everybody. He wanted everyone to know Jesus and be saved and go to Heaven one day. He was a mighty solider for the Lord and never stopped spreading the word.
He was a wonderful husband, daddy, grandpa to his family and had lots of friends. He was married to his wonderful wife for 59 years.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; Bruce and Ella Moore, brother; Freddie Moore, half- brother; George P. Rowley, granddaughter; Amanda Cryer.
He is survived by his wife; Dortha (Dot) Moore, son; Bobby and his wife Marilyn Moore of Lumberton, Texas, daughters; Regina Cryer of Pitkin, Louisiana, Roxana and her husband Nathan Whitehurst of DeRidder, Louisiana and Trisha Moore of Pilot Point, Texas, grandchildren; Cody Moore, Danielle and her husband Aaron Clary, Jeffery Cryer, Brandee Gilland, Brittany Dubois, Autumn Jarrell, Jayden Cothran, Marlee Dowden, Ryan Whitehurst, Shay Whitehurst, Bethany Rolater, Zachary Labby, great-grandchildren; Madelyn Moore, Colton Moore, Casten Cryer, Baylen Cryer, Destiny Cryer, Koury Gilland, Chevelenn Gilland, Talyn Cryer, Tacileigh Dubois, Kaedon Rolater, Piper Rolater.
