Richard D Westmoreland Sr.'s Obituary
Funeral services for Richard Westmoreland, 83, of Leesville, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 28, 2019 in the First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville with Rev. Mark Christian and Rev. David Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
Richard was born on January 2, 1936 in Leesville, LA to his parents, Joseph Wylie and Aussia Scoggins Westmoreland. He passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at The Woodlands Healthcare Center in Leesville.
Richard was a very hardworking man who in his spare time enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening and fishing. He was a faithful church going man and above all, he loved his family.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Patsy Westmoreland of Leesville; Children: Tammy Scott and husband, David of Atlanta, GA, Debby Lawrence of Leesville, Jenny Poe and husband, Danny of Slagle, Daniel Westmoreland and wife, Cindy of Leesville; Grandchildren: Rebecca Austin and husband, Josh of Atlanta, GA, Anna Marie Scott of Atlanta, GA, Ashley Farris and husband, Josh of Fate, TX, Lauren Bailey and husband, Chris of Pineville, LA, Andrew Legg of Leesville, Olivia Legg of Leesville, Danielle Westmoreland of Leesville; Great Grandchildren: Aliza Jane Austin, Ava Farris, Collin Farris, Brooklyn Bailey, Waylon Legg and a host of family and friends.
