Richard "Snappy" Flenniken's Obituary
Funeral services for Richard “Snappy” Flenniken, age 57, of Hornbeck will be held Thursday, December 10th at 2:00 P.M. in the Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church in Hornbeck with Bro. John Northway and Bro. Edwin McCullough officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 9th from 5 P.M. until service time on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Richard the son of Homer and Ernestine Flenniken was born on October 22, 1952. He passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 in Leesville, LA. Snappy retired in January of 2009 after serving over 15 years as a Deputy with the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was a member to the Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church; loved to hunt and the outdoors. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
He is survived by his son Jason Flenniken and his finance Angie Welch of Many, LA, and his Aunt Johnnie.
