Richard Charles Clark's Obituary
Richard Charles Clark entered peacefully into his Saviors arms on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at the age of 90 years, at his home in Leesville with his family by his side. Richard was born on Tuesday, July 7, 1932, in Russell County, Virginia to Willson Jessie Clark and Cornelia Littin Clark.
Visitation will begin Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 1:30 PM until the time of the service which will begin at 2:30 PM, at Lillie Pentecostal Church, 701 Cottonwood Rd Leesville, LA, with Rev. George Swain, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services under the care and direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Richard was a long-time member of Lillie Pentecostal Church for many years. He was truly a man of God and had a fire in his spirit to tell everyone about the love of Jesus. He worked on Fort Polk as a cook for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a jack of all trades. He owned a logging and shrimping business and also worked as a Farmer’s Market Vendor. His passion in life was hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and singing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Royce Clark of Leesville; five sons, Charles Clark of DeRidder, Danny Clark (Barbara) of DeRidder, Billy Clark of DeRidder, Rickey Clark (Donna) of Merryville, and Richard Clark, Jr of Merryville; three daughters, Karen Garzon of Leesville, Keshia Henderson (Nora) of Houston, TX, and Mary M. Bragg of Houston, TX; brother, Emmett “Junior” Clark of Cleveland, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren, Danny Jr, Angie, Kristy, Sheena, Lisa, Carlos, Josh, Brandy, Rickey JR, Jolene, Aleciia, Kaleb, Lauryn, Braylin; twenty-three great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Cornelia Clark; brothers, James Clark, and Jessie Clark; granddaughter, Angel Clark; half-sister, Helen Honaker; half-brothers, Charlie and Homer Honaker, Cecil Honaker.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Josh Terrell, Rickey Clark, JR, Tony Thompson, Kaleb Bragg, Nora Henderson, and Alonzo Bragg.
Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Charles Clark, Danny Clark, Billy Clark, Rickey Clark, Richard Clark, JR, Carl Dupas, Joe Dupas, and Raymond Whitley.
