The youngest of four girls born to Ike and Ruby Richmond, as one can imagine, she definitely had her mother’s heart. Whether it be a cow, which she named Macaroni, a horse named Dusty or whatever it was, if possible she would get what her heart desired. There were many services that we attended while we were growing up at Sycamore Community Church, we loved to get up and sing specials. Grandpa would take us to DeRidder where he would preach on the radio and we would always go with him so we could sing, that was the fun times. Becky began school at Burkeville Elementary and at the beginning of the Third Grade transferred to Evans Elementary where she attended school until she graduated in 1979. She was a friend to anyone she came in contact with, she was compassionate, loving and caring. She earned her degree from Lamar University and was employed as an accountant for a period of time.
Becky loved her sisters, all of them, Lucille, Dot and Vickie. If I had but one thing that I could tell you about Becky Richmond, it would be this. She was a child of God and loved our Lord and Saviour with all of her heart.
She is survived by her sisters; Lucille Jordan of Anacoco, LA., Dot Moore of Burr Ferry, LA., Vickie Junique of Beaumont, TX., and a host of nieces and nephews.
