Reba Fay Wisby's Obituary
Reba Fay Wisby entered peacefully into rest on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 7 days, at her home in DeRidder, Louisiana, with her family by her side. Reba was born on Sunday, July 16, 1933 in Cole Central, LA to Carl and Gladys Collins.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, in the chapel at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, with visitation starting at 9:00 AM and service will begin at 10:00 AM, in the Chapel of Labby Memorial Funeral Home. An Order of Eastern Star service will be conducted prior to the service in the chapel. Interment will follow at Wisby Cemetery in Cravens. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Reba was a member of Rosepine United Pentecostal Church for many years. She was a 50+ year member of Friendship Chapter No. 210 Order of Eastern Star in Sugartown, LA.
Reba did life her way up til the end. She loved spending time outdoors, especially in her garden and rose garden. She loved hunting, fishing, hunting for arrowheads, and feeding her fish in her pond. Her favorite time was sitting down with a cup of coffee and spending her time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Laddie DeWayne Smith and wife Cara of DeRidder, LA, Frederick Allan Wisby, Jr. and wife Katie of DeRidder, LA; daughters Linda Ford and husband Jack of DeRidder, LA, Brenda Maricle of DeRidder, LA, Brandie Jackson and husband Curtis of DeRidder, LA; brothers Donald Collins of Rosepine, LA, Kenneth Collins and wife Linda of Dry Creek, LA; sisters Joyce Weeks of Rosepine, LA, Barbara Johnson and husband J. L. of Cravens, LA; twenty-two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her father Carl Collins; mother Gladys Barmore; husband of 32 years Fred Wisby, Jr.; sister Vernice Betkey; brother Dean Collins; sons Frederick Allan Wisby, Sr., and Terry Lynn Wisby.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Laddie Smith, Frederick Allan Wisby, Jr., Peyton Ardoin, Keegan Smith, Frederick Allan Wisby, III, and Daulton Ardoin.
Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Curtis Jackson, Mickey Ford, Mark Ford, Billy Ford, and Anthony Wisby.
