Raymond N. "Stoney" Stonecipher's Obituary
Funeral services for Raymond N. “Stoney” Stonecipher, 78, of DeRidder, LA, will be held at 1:00p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder. Rev. Frank Ott and Rev. Hershel Davis will officiate. Mr. Stonecipher passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Lake Charles, LA. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until time of the service, Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the funeral home. Cremation will be entrusted to Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Mr. Stonecipher was born on April 16, 1938 in Wichita Falls, TX, to Henry Americas and Cleo Parker Stonecipher. He moved to California when he was three where he resided until 1993 when he moved to DeRidder. “Stoney” was a retired journeyman with the state of California. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving a tour in Japan. He was a 1956 graduate of William F. Hart High School. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in DeRidder and a member of American Legion Post 507 in Newhall, CA, where he served as Vice Commander.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy Lee Stonecipher of DeRidder; son, Christopher Scott Stonecipher of Canyon Country, CA; daughter, Jay Lynn Stonecipher of DeRidder; four stepchildren, Perry A. Warren of Lake Isabella, CA, Paul A. Warren of Rosepine, LA, Patricia A. Warren of Panama City, FL, and Philip A. Warren of DeRidder; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
