Funeral services for Raymond Robinson, 52, of Leesville will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Labby Memorial Funeral in Leesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Raymond Clemente Robinson was born on May 26, 1972, in Montgomery, Alabama. His parents, Raymond Tayler and Windy Robinson, first crossed paths during their high school years. As the first grandchild of Julius and Blossom, Raymond held a special place in the family.
From a young age, Raymond easily forged connections with others, whether through playing sports with neighborhood friends or participating in high school football. He hailed from a family of skilled tradesmen and himself became a proficient tradesman, earning certification as a welder. Deeply devoted to his family, Raymond consistently strived to honor the legacy of his ancestors.
He died on April 7, 2025, in Leesville, Louisiana, at the age of 52.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica Barr-Robinson of Leesville, Louisiana, and his sons, Savonn (Sarah) Robinson of Prattville, Alabama, along with Elijah Linder of Kentucky. His sister, Terrilisa L. Barnes, resides in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is also survived by uncles, Rodney (Karen) in Baltimore, Maryland, Pat and Kenny Robinson in Alabama, and aunts Normatine Averheart in Prattville, Alabama, and Exie (Rodrick) Rawlinson in Huntsville, Alabama.
Additionally, he leaves behind a host of cousins, friends, and associates.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Taylor and Windy Odet Shaw, as well as his great-grandparents, Julius and Exie Lee Crawford Robinson, grandparents, Julius C. Robinson Jr. and Blossom Robinson; and cousins Ashley Marie Mitchell and Eric Jerome Robinson.
