Raymond Earl Granger, Sr.'s Obituary
Graveside services for Raymond Earl Granger, Sr., 88, of DeRidder, LA, will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Dry Creek Cemetery in Dry Creek, LA with Rev. Dalton Isbell officiating. Mr. Granger passed away Friday, October 25, 2013, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, LA.
Visitation will begin at 4 P.M., Sunday, October 27, 2013, until 9 P.M., at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA.
Mr. Granger was born on June 10, 1925, in Richmond, TX, to Raymond Granger and Jessie Johnson Granger. He lived most of his life in Dry Creek, LA. He was a retired mechanic and shop foreman with Byles Tractor Service in Winnfield, LA and also worked in the oilfield.
Survivors include 3 sons, Raymond E. Granger, Jr. and wife Jackie of DeRidder, Wilber Dale Granger and wife Sherry of DeQuincy and Robert “Bob” Granger and wife Susan of Dry Creek; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Joy Vivian Hoffpauir and husband C. J. of Dry Creek, LA. He was preceded in death by his wife Faye Carolyn Thompson. Raymond’s family requests donations be made to Dry Creek Cemetery Association.
