Ralph Thompson's Obituary
Funeral services for Ralph Thompson, 70, of Anacoco, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in the Occupy #1 Baptist Church in Pitkin, with Revs Hardy Estes, Daniel Lowe, and A.J. Trosclair officiating. Burial will follow in the Occupy #1 cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville, and from 12:00 noon until service time on Wednesday in the church. Mr. Thompson was born on July 27, 1951 to his parents, Monroe and Bertie Mae Thompson and entered eternal rest on Friday, February 11, 2022 in Leesville. He was an avid deer hunter and loved baseball. He served his entire life in law enforcement, working for the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office, Leesville Police Department, Alexandria Police Department, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and U.S. Immigration. He is preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Bertie Mae Thompson; His Brother: Ronald Thompson, and his Grandson, Corben Ralph Thompson. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of over 51 years, Paula Thompson of Anacoco; Three Children: Tammy Thompson of Anacoco, Ann Thompson of Hornbeck, and Ben Thompson and his wife Sarah of Circleville, Kansas; Four Siblings: Monroe Thompson, Jr. of Alexandria, Nell Stanley of Leesville, Bonnie Thompson of Pitkin, and Donald Thompson of Sallisaw, OK; Ten Grandchildren: Garrett Dauzat, Angelina Conner (A.J.), Grason Dauzat, Caleb Parker (Nicole), Aniston Osteen (Jonathan), Dawson Scroggins, Dylan Thompson, Kaylee Thompson, Emmarae Thompson, Keaton Thompson; Three Great Grand Children: Addie, Jaxx, and Isaiah.
