Ralph Wayne Petty Sr.'s Obituary
Ralph Wayne Petty, Sr., was born on September 26, 1945 in Union County, S.C. to Nannie & Clyde Petty. He passed away on April 29, 2025 in Alexandria, LA.
Mr. Petty served in the United States Army, he served for 23 years to include two tours in Vietnam. During his service he earned multiple Army Commendations. He graduated from military school for food services.
He loved hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors. He really enjoyed time with his great grandkids. He loved his dog named CoCo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Petty Sr.; mother, Nannie Petty; brother, Clyde Petty Jr. and son, Steven Petty.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Petty of Leesville; sons, Robert Petty & wife Christy of Leesville and Wayne Petty of Leesville; niece, Terri & Mike Wray of Spartanburg, S.C.; grandkids, Steven Petty of Leesville, Amber & Paxton Lowman of Leesville, Shay & David Defoor of Leesville, Bradley & Regan Petty of Leesville, Elizabeth, Casey, Mikey and Samantha and great grandkids, Logan Lowman, Blakelyn Lowman, Grayson Defoor, Colsynn Defoor all of Leesville, Sky & Ariel of Tennessee.
Memorial services will be held at Labby Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
