Pok Soon Park's Obituary
Park Pok Soon, 91, of DeRidder entered into rest on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Crowley, Louisiana with her family by her side. Pok was born on April 11, 1930 in Chun Cheon City, South Korea to Park Man Suk and Jo Ki Soon.
Visitation will begin Monday, June 14, 2021, from 11 AM until Funeral Service begins at 12:00 PM, at the Korean Baptist Church located at 187 Browns Lane Leesville, LA with Rev.June Song, Pastor, officiating. Cremation services will be held after the service and has been entrusted to Labby Memorial Funeral of DeRidder.
Pok grew up in South Korea where she learned to farm. When she moved to the United States to live with her daughter she worked in different areas. When they moved to Louisiana, she worked out at the Fort Polk Commissary as a grocery bagger. In her spare time, she loved to be in the garden growing vegetables as well as cooking and making homemade foods. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Leesville Korean Baptist Church for many years. She will be missed dearly by all those that knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Myong Powers and husband Clayton of DeRidder, Jang Myong Hae and Jang Myong Soon both of South Korea; sons Jang Myong Chul and Jang Myong Gill both of South Korea; grandchildren, Jang Gi Hae of South Korea, Kim Jeong Ho of Auston, Texas, Kim Ju Ho of South Korea, Jang Yuna and Jang Yun Jeong both of Atlanta, Georgia.
Preceded in death by her parents, Man Suk Park and Ki Soon Jo; husband, Jang Young Moon; and her brothers and sisters.
