Phillip Lee James' Obituary
Phillip Lee James, 82, of Pitkin, Louisiana, passed away in his home on April 9, 2026. Born on December 15, 1943, Phillip served his country in the United States Navy, first enlisting and serving in the Vietnam War, for which he was awarded two Purple Hearts, among several other commendations. He continued his work in the Navy thereafter for a total of 28 years of service. In addition to his dedication to serving his country, Phillip was a loving and dedicated son, brother, father, and friend. Phillip is survived by his four brothers, JB, Danny, Johnny, and Evan; his four children, Christopher, Trisha, Meaghan, and Morgan; along with his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the Labby Memorial Funeral Homes in DeRidder, LA on April 25, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
